In 2024, after an unexpected departure from my corporate career, I decided to make myself even more uncomfortable by stepping into a role I've never had, but always pondered about: business owner. After mingling in the pet sitting space, pet sitting for friends and taking occasional boarding requests on the weekends through the Rover app, I decided to go a more risk averse route and explore my long wondered "what if" that I could build a business to sustain my finances full time. I have organized the various methods I've learned and operational pivots I've implemented as case studies for myself to gage what is working for my business and what did not.
